Leo Woodall Gets Real About Being a Heartthrob: ‘I Had to Really Go to the Gym’
But the truth is, Leo Woodall isn’t exactly comfortable with his rom-com hottie reputation. In the latest film, the 28-year-old dives into a pool to rescue a tiny dog — an echo of Colin Firth’s similarly sexy dousing in an earlier Bridget movie (and Mr. Darcy’s memorable scene in the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice).
“She’s just the loveliest,” Leo says of costar Renée.
“It’s pressure,” the actor said of suddenly being a sex object. “It’s just hard for me, because I f**king love pizza and beer. But for this I had to really go to the gym.” Still, he’s learning to cope, says the actor, who met girlfriend Meghann Fahy while shooting White Lotus in 2022. “One of the ways that I’ve kept myself grounded is just making a big joke about it.”
